If the patient is able to sit upright during take-off and landing, they may be accompanied and monitored on a major commercial airline (such as Qantas), in the comfort of First Class or Business Class. The commercial air escort will be one or more of our highly trained and experienced Skymed Aeromedical professionals, who will provide patient-focused care and assistance and tend to their every medical need.
Commercial Stretcher
This is a safe and effective mode of medical air transport on a commercial airline if the patient isn’t able to sit up for take-off and landing. Comfortably located at the back of the plane, the patient and Skymed Aeromedical professional(s) have the space, comfort and privacy.

Long Distance Ground Medical Escort
The most reliable alternative for non-emergency patients who need treatment or relocation and cannot, or prefer not to fly. Our ground fleet have vehicles fitted with both comfortable seating arrangements and stretchers for those who are unable to sit.
